Scope & Content Correspondence of family members from Harrison County, Ohio, and Wheeling, West Virginia. Includes letters written during the First World War by Robert J. Clendenning, describing life in the Army Medical Department and in occupied Germany after the war. Also included are letters from Arminta Holliday Clendenning of Freeport, Ohio, describing life in the 1850's. Family histories, certificates, newspaper clippings, and photographs are also part of the collection.
