Scope & Content Mr. Borchert was an engineer who worked on the Manhattan Project in Chicago during WWII. He was an employee of Houdaille-Hershey. Collection consists mainly of newspapers and clippings concerning the development of atomic energy, the bomb, etc. Also memos, certificates, and items relating to auxiliary fireman. At the time of receiving these documents he was in a nursing home.
